Terms of Service
Effective October 7, 2026
The short version
- TableGuide is a discussion tool, not medical advice. Organizers review and approve every question before facilitators see it.
- Plans are one-time payments for a set period. Nothing renews or charges you automatically.
- Annual plans include unlimited events and question sets, subject to the fair-use limits below.
- Your questions and event content stay yours.
These terms are an agreement between you and TableGuide ("we," "us") for using our website, question app, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, joining an event as a facilitator, buying a plan, or sponsoring a group, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
1. What TableGuide is
TableGuide helps groups run guided conversations: organizers plan events and approve questions, facilitators show the questions at their tables on a phone, and attendees can take the conversation home.
Not medical advice. TableGuide is a discussion tool. It does not provide medical, mental health, legal, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or counselor. Conversations are led by your volunteers, not by us. In an emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 to create an account. Each organization uses one organizer account.
- Give accurate information and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Facilitators join events through a link from their organizer and don't need accounts. Organizers are responsible for who they share facilitator links with and can remove facilitators at any time.
3. Free setup
You can create an account, set up up to 3 events, write your own questions, and preview them at no cost. Running events requires a funded plan. Approving questions for facilitators, facilitator links, take-home pages, and our question writer are available only on funded plans.
4. Plans and payment
- Prices are shown on our website in U.S. dollars and may change. Changes don't affect a plan you've already paid for.
- One-time payments. Each purchase covers a set period: 30 days for one-event plans and 365 days for annual plans. Plans do not renew automatically, and we will not charge you again unless you choose to buy again.
- Upgrades and renewals bought while a plan is active add their period after the time you already have. The new plan's features, such as more facilitator seats, apply right away.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, subject to Stripe's terms. You're responsible for any applicable taxes.
- Refunds. Purchases are final, except where the law requires a refund or where we fail to provide the Service you paid for. If something isn't working, contact us and we'll try to make it right.
- When a plan ends, your account, events, and questions stay saved so you can renew and reuse them, but facilitator links and take-home pages stop working until the program is funded again.
5. Facilitator seats and fair use
- Each plan includes a number of facilitator seats per event (for example, up to 10 or up to 50). Seats are for real people facilitating your events, not for sharing a plan with other organizations.
- "Unlimited events" on annual plans means up to 500 events a year.
- A "new question set" is one time our writer drafts a full set of questions for an event. Plans include 10 per event on one-event plans, 100 a year on Solo annual, and 300 a year on Team annual plans. Editing questions by hand and reusing a past event's questions never count.
- We may limit or suspend use that is automated, abusive, or clearly beyond these limits.
6. AI-drafted questions and your responsibility
- Our writer uses artificial intelligence to draft questions from the details you enter. Drafts can contain mistakes, may not suit your group, and may sometimes be inaccurate or inappropriate.
- You review and approve every question before facilitators can see it, and you're responsible for the questions you approve and for how your events are run.
- Don't enter attendees' names, health information, or other sensitive personal details into event descriptions or questions.
7. Your content
Your organization name, event details, take-home prompts, and questions (including approved AI drafts) are "your content," and you keep your rights to it. You give us permission to store, copy, process, and display your content only as needed to run the Service, including showing it to your facilitators and on your take-home pages, and sending event details to our AI provider when you ask for a draft. You confirm you have the right to use what you enter.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law, or harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone;
- collect attendees' personal or health information;
- post content that is hateful, sexually explicit, or meant to deceive;
- impersonate an organization or sponsor, or use a name you don't have the right to use;
- attempt to break into, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or get around seat, event, or question-set limits; or
- resell the Service, or create fake accounts or referrals.
9. Sponsorships
- A sponsor pays $999 to fund one year of the Team up to 50 annual plan for a group it chooses. The sponsor doesn't need an account and doesn't get access to the group's account, events, or data.
- The sponsor name you enter at checkout is shown as "Sponsored by" on the group's question screens and take-home pages for the sponsored period. If you choose, your name and website also appear on our public sponsors list while the sponsorship is active.
- You confirm that you're authorized to use the sponsor name and website you enter. We may decline or remove names, websites, or listings that are inappropriate, misleading, or infringe others' rights.
- The group, not the sponsor, decides how it uses its program. Sponsorship does not mean that we or the group endorse the sponsor, or that the sponsor endorses the group's content.
- Sponsorships are final under the refund terms in section 4. If the group's account is closed for violating these terms, the sponsorship is not transferable.
10. Partner program
- The partner program is available only to accounts with an active Team annual plan (up to 10 or up to 50 facilitators), including sponsored groups. Solo and one-event plans don't earn commissions.
- An eligible partner earns 20% of purchases by new groups it referred, for 12 months after each referred group's first purchase, while the partner's Team annual plan is active.
- Payouts begin with our partner launch. Referrals made before then are tracked and credited to eligible accounts. To receive payouts, you'll need to complete our payout provider's setup, including any tax information it requires.
- No commissions are earned on your own purchases, refunded purchases, or referrals made through spam, misleading claims, or fake accounts. We may withhold commissions from, or remove partners who, violate these terms.
- We may change or end the partner program with notice. Commissions already earned under the program's terms will be paid.
11. Our property
The Service, including its software, design, and the TableGuide name, belongs to us. These terms give you a limited right to use the Service as offered while your account is in good standing. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.
12. Ending use
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put others at risk. Where it's practical and lawful, we'll tell you why. If we end the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI drafts will be accurate or suitable. We are not responsible for what is said at events or for decisions people make based on conversations.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your content, your events, or your violation of these terms or the law, to the extent the law allows.
16. Disputes
If you have a concern, please contact us first; most issues can be solved quickly that way. If we can't resolve it informally within 30 days, either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court or another court with jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the state in which TableGuide is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, give notice on the website or by email to organizers. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
18. Other terms
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization.
